The Estonian Soft Drinks Association represents the Estonian soft drinks producers, whose aim is to uphold the rights of the soft drinks industry. The association was founded in 2004.

The Association is a member of Soft Drinks Europe (UNESDA).

The main positions of the Estonian Soft Drinks Association:

Consume in moderation!
As with any other product containing sugar, it is best to consume soft drinks in moderation. Over the last 20 years, the sugar content of soft drinks has been reduced by more than 30%.

Sugar Sweetened Beverage (SSB) Tax
The Association does not support the implementation of a discriminatory SSB tax in Estonia. The experiences of other countries show that such tax will not have the intended impact of reducing obesity but instead will harm the Estonian soft drinks industry.
The President of Estonia did not proceed with the Sweetened Drinks Tax Act in 2017 due to its legal shortcomings, including a lack of impact assessment on the Estonian economy and competitiveness of the Estonian beverage industry.
